The best book for anyone with less than 2 years of Linux power user experience. Even if you don't plan on taking the certificate, this is The Book. It explains everything with examples in easy to follow and interesting way. Compared to the popular How Linux Works - What Every Superuser Should Know, this is leagues above. These two authors also wrote the well known and must read Linux Command Line and Shell Scripting Bible.
