love this book, it has great easy recipes, tried a lot so far. It is very helpful that it gives all the nutritional needs of fat, carbs, calorie intake as I am tracking my meals!

5 stars simply because a) this book is full of regular recipes that I will actually eat and b) almost every recipe is for 1 serving! Thank you Lisa for not making another cookbook full of recipes that I could use to feed a party of 10. I am a single woman looking for healthy meals and snacks without having to eat the same meal all week long. With other recipes I'd be stuck eating the same thing until I ran out or until I just got sick of it and threw the leftovers out! I love Hungry Girl, I subscribe to the blog and the recipes are mouthwatering but to be perfectly honest I have not tried any yet. There are many recipes in this book that I am filing away for my "Recipe Book" The only complaint I had is that there was not enough pictures of the recipes included and the book it self while eye catching on the outside, was not very eye popping on the inside. Another great thing about The Hungry Girl Diet Cookbook recipes is that most of the ingredients in the recipes are very attainable at your local grocery store. This is a brief list of the recipes that I hope to try out: Creamy Avocado Fettuccine pg 265 Sauteed Onion 'Bella Cheese Burger pg 160 Peaches 'n Cream Oatmeal Pg 42 I found this a great book for someone like me who is watching calories, is on a "diet" even though I hate that word and is watching portions. Another great add on that I always love is the Supermarket list and Money and Time Saving tips for the recipes. It's always great to have a list for your grocery shopping of staple foods you should have in your fridge and pantry.

I really like the Hungry Girl ideas...the following I will add to my go-to list: overnight oatmeal, breakfast soft tacos, shrimp fajitas, chicken marinara stuffed potato, Greek salad tostada, and lettuce-wrapped taco burger with carrot fries and dip. There were a few helpful tips but nothing outstanding. It would be great if there were more pictures of the food or perhaps snap shots on how the cooking process went with a few dishes.

I got this cookbook out from the library and I'm glad I did. These are not at all my kind of cookbooks. I'm in diet mode right now, but I flat out refuse to use reduced fat dairy or fat free dressing and other chemicals to nourish myself. If you were to follow the Hungry Girl diet, you would probably lose weight pretty quickly. You ingest maybe 1400-1500 calories daily on this plan. But none of this really looks all that appealing to me. Again, I'm glad I rented this, instead of buying it.

While some of the recipes are interesting, my pet peeve about cookbooks and this one is definitely it, the lack of images showing the dishes - in fact the author refers you to her website. Not what I think a quality cookbook should do.

Great addition to the diet. Loved these recipes and loved having more of a variety to the diet. I will use these recipes even when I am not dieting! I love her recipes!

It was just ok for me. This book has only recipes for one serving. I'm cooking for a family, so I would rather have a book that has full family size recipes.
